Sometimes bad things happen. Prepare for the worst by backing up a copy of your course. Open a new tab with your open course and follow these directions.
1. In the Administration panel of your course select--->Backup
2. All boxes should already be selected. If you just want a course back up without all of the posts and completed assignments remove the check marks under the User Data fields.
3. Scroll down, select--->Continue
4. Scroll down the next page, select--->Continue (yes, again)
5. Depending on the size of your course you may need to wait a few seconds. Scroll down, select--->Continue (third time)
6. This will take you to your Course Files screen. Right-Click the .zip file of your course backup and select---> Save Link As (Mac users, do whatever it is that Mac users do when they want to download something
)
7. Select where you want to save the file.
8. Finished
Your course is now backed up on your computer in case of any kind of failure. Backed up courses may be easily reinstalled by an Administrator.
